Jo has operated her hobby farm off grid since 2000. She helped design and build her small timber frame cabin, situated on 6 1/2 acres, heated by a

woodstove and lit with beeswax candles. For Eclection, Jo produces handmade cards but her work as a designer also includes: knitwear, beeswax candles, mosaic tile, interior decorating, floor plans, masonry projects, and architectural design. In an effort to increase sustainability and lower energy consumption in both residential and commercial building design, Jo is studying earth sheltering.
